CLINICS

Antenatal Clinic
This is held on a Monday afternoon between 1.30PM
and 3.30PM and is run by the Community Midwife from Llandough
Hospital. The midwife is at the surgery to check that all
is going well with your pregnancy.
Family Planning
This is held on a Monday afternoon between 5.00PM
and 5.30PM by our Practice Nurse.
Contraceptive services are also available during ordinary
surgery consultations. All the doctors in the practice are
trained in Family Planning.
Cervical Smears
Many women in our Practice, already take advantage
of this test. If you are over 20 years of age and like to
take this test, please ask the doctor or nurse for further
information. Follow up smears are arranged automatically every
3 years.
Diabetic Clinic
If you have diabetes, the nurse and doctor can see
you for your regular diabetic checks. Please ask at the reception
for further details.
Minor Surgery
Doctor Chaudhuri sees patients for Minor surgery.
If you have joint pains, cysts, skin lesions etc., that you are
worried about, please discuss this with him first before booking
an appointment.
Well Baby Clinic
This is held by the Health Visitor on a Tuesday afternoon
between 1.30PM and 3.00PM. The doctor and nurse are also present
to administer vaccinations and carry out certain medical checks.
The Health Visitor is available if you have any concerns about
your child.
We strongly recommend the following
programme of Development Checks and routine immunisation for
children under 5.

HIB, Polio immunisation, meningitis C. |

MAKE THE MOST OF OUR
SERVICES
- Read the notices posted in
the surgery.
- Make sure you know the opening
times of the surgery.
- Find out how to arrange home
visits, repeat prescriptions and urgent appointments.
- Keep your appointment or
telephone the reception to cancel it if you can not make
it.
- Ask your doctor to write down
anything you do not understand the answers to.
Take a friend or relative with you if necessary.
