DOCTOR/NURSE
APPOINTMENTS
MORNINGS:
- Patients may ring
any week day morning from 8AM for an appointment with the doctor seeing
patients that day.
- There are also a
few appointments available for the same day afternoon as well.
- Patients may
also ring and prebook an appointment with a doctor of their choice TWO
weeks in advance if the doctor is not on holiday.
- We will only be
able to deal with one problem during the consultation (as the
consultation times are shorter) this will be strictly enforced as
otherwise long delays for other patients will build up.
- An afternoon
appointment can be made 2 weeks in advance by telephoning our reception.

- In an emergency, we
have a Doctor on Call 5 mornings a week for consultation/or a
request for a home visit.
- If you ring between
9.30AM and 11AM you can speak to the Doctor on Call on the same day,
who will advise you on the telephone or arrange to see you if needed.
(If the doctor has a patient with him/her
when you ring the surgery, the receptionist will take your telephone
number and the doctor will ring you at the end of the surgery).
- We endeavour to
give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice but this may not
be possible all the time.
EVENINGS:
- All evening
surgeries are pre-booked appointments but in an emergency you can speak
to the Doctor on Call and will be seen if needed.
- If you are unable
to attend an appointment, please ring the surgery to cancel so that
someone else could have this appointment.
- Patients who
arrive 10 or more minutes late for their appointment will not always be
seen as the doctor will be busy seeing other patients with
appointments.
HOME VISITS
If you are too ill to
come to the surgery, you can request for a home visit anytime between
8.30am and 10.30am.
OUT OF HOURS
The surgery is covered
by Out of Hours service Rhonda Cynon Taf based at the Cardiff Royal
Infirmary and the Heath Hospital, depending on where you live, between
6.30pm-8.00am every weekday, all weekends and bank holidays.
